Spotlight
Our
spotlight falls on Volunteering Ashford.
 Volunteering
Ashford has been providing services to the community for over thirty
years. We provide
information about volunteering to people who are interested in
getting involved in their communities.
We offer guidance to organisations in good practice in managing and
supporting their volunteers.
We have the very latest volunteering opportunities and offer direct
contact between volunteers and
organisations looking for their help. Volunteering
Ashford, formerly Ashford & District Volunteer Bureau, is a
registered charity established in
1978 to provide information about volunteering to people who are
interested in getting involved in their
local communities and provide guidance for organisations in good
practice in managing and supporting
their volunteers. Our services are supplied to the whole of the
Ashford Borough and when requested,
we are happy to provide our skills and services to a wider
community. We
offer training to assist organisations and individuals to make
decisions about volunteering and to get the most from being involved
in our community. The Community Administration Team is based in our
Ashford office as is our Rent-a-Desk and Car Scheme services. We
offer a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checking service. We also run
the Well-Being at Home and Care Navigator Services.
We have an office in the Tenterden Gateway to assist with more
localised volunteering opportunities
and Car Scheme requirements. Contact
