Shopping in and around Ashford Town Centre
Ashford
town centre is packed with shopping delights to tempt you. Combining
local and independent
stores with a mix of popular high street names and brands, the
pedestrianised High Street and Bank
Street sit comfortably between the two shopping centres, Park Mall and
County Square. With lots of
parking in and around the town centre, Ashford offers a safe and
friendly place for all ages. Park
Mall shopping:
Entering through the very prominent main entrance, Park Mall
shopping centre combines modern mall
shopping with a
traditional courtyard feel to it. In addition to the great range of
stores and boutiques it
contains, the
abundance of greenery, plant displays and seating areas only adds to
the overall attraction
and
atmosphere. County
Square shopping:
Sitting
opposite Park Mall, County Square shopping centre is fully enclosed from the elements yet
maintains an attractive light and
spacious aura about it. Holding some of the larger stores in Ashford
its focal point is the open plan
cafeteria, where you can relax and enjoy a coffee while soaking up
the
atmosphere and watch the
world go by. Right
from the 'modern' New Rents end of the town, with its real
World War 1 tank feature, to the
oldest part of the the town centre, Middle Row, and continuing down
the High Street past the attractive
water fountain feature, lie numorous 'little treasures'. The types
of shops you could quite happily lose
track of time in as you marvel at the multitude of gifts and
nic-nacs.
