is twinned with several towns. Bad Munstereifel in Germany is
Ashford's longest
twinning association. Established way back in 1964, although
informal links were much

Ashford is also twinned with Fougères in France. Twinning
began officially in 1984

There are a number of events held with all twinned towns,

We'd like to put more information about what goes on but we
cant find any, so it looks
like you have to be in with the association
to be up on all the happenings. Although
quite often you see news stories about a twinning event that
'happened' in the local
press. Then again, when I was young lad there used to be lots
of events and social
gatherings with Ashford Archery Club and Ashford Riflle
Club and their relevant
counterparts in Bad Munstereifel. I know 'cause I had to
attend some with my parents -
who were both in the rifle club at the time.
